All mechanical instruments are carefully assembled, tested and adjusted by hand. In addition to clocks, we also offer several other measuring instruments.
Clocks and Barometers
If you choose Schatz and Barigo barometers, outdoor thermometers, weather stations or ship clocks , you choose high quality and a beautiful, modern-classic design. We have been selling the Schatz and Barigo brand for at least 70 years. We buy ship clocks, barometers and thermo-hygrometers in brass, chrome or stainless steel directly from the factory. Because we purchase all these products directly, they are very competitively priced!
About Altitude
Altitude and Barostar started as two companies in the same town of Morteau, in Franch-Comté. At the time, this was also the leading region in France for micro-technology.
The history of Barostar begins with the design of a watch in 1939. However, Altitude was founded a little later, in 1955. Both factories developed their unique barometer movements at the time: Barostar in the 1950s and Altitude during the 1960s. In particular the MECA barometer movement, which was developed by Altitude in the 1970s. The watch company closed down in 1980 and Barostar subsequently developed various meteorological instruments. In 1994, Barostar took over the Panchet à Paris company. Altitude successively acquired VION in 1992, Barostar in 1999 and the German Schatz 1881 in 2000.
From 2012, the Delite company also acquired the beautiful Schatz 1881 brand, and subsequently Delite purchased the Altitude brand in 2013.
Today, the beautiful ship clocks , barometers , cases, movements and other productions of Delite, Schatz 1881, Altitude, VION and Barostar are still produced in Måløv, Denmark .
